Sat 24th Sept 2022, Mbarara University of Science and Technology NGO-NGA fellowship held its Annual Dinner after the COVID19 break at the swanky Hotel Triangle Mbarara Bouquet hall. As always, it was the talk of town. Attendance included university students, Bwera-Ntale fellowship; SMACK Old Boys, Namilyango Old Boys, Namagunga Old Girls some of whom were MUST faculty and a few NACOBA Executive members led by the President.
The dinner is held to celebrate the final year students, thank the out-going Executive as well as install a new Executive Committee. This year’s President is from Namagunga, Ms Margaret Obira Naigaga who replaces Mr. Malinga Paddy. This year, a magazine The Synergy compiling the fellowships 20 year history and activities was published. Another first was the launching of the fellowships constitution launched as well. As gift from NACOBA also helped them establish their first official bank account.
The food, reputed to be the best buffet served in Mbarara was more that mouth-watering, it teased all the taste buds well. The highlight of the evening was the waltz (slow dance) by the finalist as the lads and lasses paired up and graced the dance floor. For a generation so picturesque, photography captured the moments without spiking one. It was glitz and glam through. A few finalist did show case their inventions, one in particular had an ointment for tropical use on skin infections. MUST NGO-NGA Fellowship is a beacon of University fellowship unity, purpose and solidarity; we look forward to other such University engagements.
