Namilyango College Old Boys Association (NACOBA) is an Association of alumni of Namilyango College, the oldest secondary school in Uganda.
NACOBA has seen growth in membership and participation in the Association activities such as get-togethers, the annual sports gala and awards dinner among others.
NACOBA boasts of 500+ paid-up members, 150 members’ attendance at monthly get together events, with ever growing numbers at our family sports gala and the Awards Dinner. We are actively involved in the college activities as well as governance.
The growth of the Association has produced offshoots such as the NACOBA SACCO, NACOBA Consultancy, The Ngo League and the NACOBA Market.
We do also have chapters in Europe & North America and University Chapters (MUST and Kampala NGO-NGA).

Annual Sports Gala
This is the biggest event on our calendar. It brings together Old Boys across the generations, their families and friends who come out in big numbers to play, reminisce, fellowship, eat , drink and compete in a friendly manner. This cements the reputation of Namilyango College as a Sports powerhouse and true to mantra "In Namilyango we share".
Namilyango Day
Namilyango College celebrates its founding as the first post primary institution in Uganda and its continued record of excellence, service to the nation & the world and fellow old boys and other stakeholders. The Old Boys and other stakeholders gather at the college annually to commemorate the founding day.
NACOBA AWARDS
This formal dinner that is held every two years provides an opportunity to recognise Old Boys who have excelled in various areas of endeavour. It also provides OBs with opportinities to catch uo , network and eat and drink together. An Awards Committee manages the process of identifying award categories, selection and the award of the deserving OBs
Career Guidance and Inspirational Talks
Based on our varied experiences in the world of academia, work and our professions, NACOBA every year organises a Career Guidance day through which the Old Boys give talks to the current students in order to prepare them make life and work related choices.
Monthly get-togethers
Namilyango College Old Boys' Association (NACOBA) has a monthly get together where one of our different traditional houses hosts the rest of the Old Boys to a barbecue and talk on topical matters of interest to help them improve themselves , catch up and network for their good. These events average an attendance of 150 Old Boys every month.
ANNUAL MEDICAL CAMP
NACOBA annually organises a medical camp, in partnership with partners like the Police in which it reaches out to the community around the College, which supported are being raised into responsible citizens, as one of the ways through which we give back to that community.
