Moses is one of the founders and a Director in ABS Consulting Group Limited. ABS Consulting is an independent management consulting firm that assists clients to improve, streamline and upgrade their business operations. ABS Consulting Group, recently won the World Quality Commitment Award in the Gold Category level at the 2014 International Quality Awards event presided over by Jose E. Prieto, President and CEO, BID Group.
Prior to founding ABS Consulting, Moses was Director and regional leader of the Forensic Investigation and dispute services Division at Ernst & Young, a leading global professional services organization providing audit, risk advisory, tax, and transaction services. As a regional Leader, he was responsible for service delivery to clients in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda Burundi and Tanzania.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Makerere University, Moses began his career with Ernst & Young in the Ugandan office. He also worked in various other international Ernst & Young offices and held a series of leadership positions throughout Ernst & Young.
In 2002, he was posted to Australia for a period of five years and worked in both the Sydney and Adelaide Ernst & Young offices serving clients in the technology, communications and entertainment sector.
Prior to his return to Uganda, Moses also worked as a corporate Internal Audit Manager with Woolworths Limited, the largest Australian retail company. The company employs over 170,000 people and operates more than 1,600 supermarkets in Australia plus additional supermarkets in New Zealand, India and Hong Kong. As a corporate Audit Manager, he managed big teams on various corporate reviews, analysing business processes and providing value add services to the business within the Woolworths portfolio.
Throughout his career, Moses has actively supported numerous civic, cultural and business organizations. He was on the Board of Directors for the Migrant Resource Centre of South Australia, an independent, charitable, community based organisation responsible for the settlement of new arrivals from refugee backgrounds in South Australia. He was also Board Member of the African Communities Council of South Australia, an organization that provides on-arrival settlement services to African people across South Australia through the Integrated Humanitarian Settlement Strategy.
Moses is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda and a member of CPA Australia’s Continuing Professional Development – Training & e-Learning Facilitators.
